The first son of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Jide is dead.

His death on Wednesday was confirmed by the Lagos State Chairman of the APC, Chief Henry Ajomale..

The FCT High Court in Maitama, Abuja on Wednesday slammed a N10 million fine as damages on Abuja Inquirer and Gazzetta Communication Ltd for libellous publication against Mr Kingsley Kuku.

The libellous material was contained in the defendants’ July 27 to Aug. 2, 2015 edition.

Kuku, a lawmaker in the Ondo Hosue of Assembly, was a former Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Niger Delta Affairs, and Chairperson of Presidential Committee on Amnesty Programme.

, for failing to appear before its ad-hoc committee investigating allegations of abuse of office against him.

The Chairman of the ad-hoc committee, Sen. Francis Alimikhena, issued the threat when the IGP failed to appear before the committee on Wednesday.

Alimikhena, who is also the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, said the IGP was summoned on Oct. 16 to answer allegations made against him by Sen. Isah Misau (APC-Bauchi).

EFCC raise alarm over Acting Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Magu


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has raised the alarm over an alleged plot to frame its Acting Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Magu, with ownership of assets abroad. Spokesman for the commission, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, said in a statement on Wednesday that “shadowy interests at the receiving end” of the agency’s anti-corruption campaign were behind the alleged scheme.

“Those behind the plot, which is believed to be part of a grand design to discredit the anti-graft czar, have allegedly finalised plans to name Magu as the owner of choice properties in exotic locations abroad. “The commission has information that the desperate cabal could take their gambit to the ridiculous extent of purchasing properties and registering them in the name of Ibrahim Magu to make the plot believable. “They are also prepared to sponsor some political hirelings who would come out openly to claim they have information about the property acquisitions.”
