Chioma Ajunwa Global Youth Concept supports NFFC

The launch of Red Card to Deaths on the Mediterranean Sea and Sahara Desert by the Nigeria Football Fans Congress has received backing from the Chioma Ajunwa Global Youth Concept, a body concerned with the development and well-being of youths in the country.

The programme which was unveiled to the press yesterday at the Ayinde Giwa secretariat of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club is aimed at using football to curb the incessant illegal movement of Nigerian youths across the desert up to the Mediterranean Sea in a bid to cross to Europe for the proverbial Greener Pastures.
This has resulted in deaths in the desert and on the sea, most of them unaccounted for. Speaking at the event, National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Reverend Samuel Ikpea said, “In order to redress this unfortunate and avoidable loss of lives of illegal migrants to Europe we intend to raise a strong campaign by bringing together humanitarian organisations to deliver lectures, symposium and different for a where it will be discussed elaborately.
